15th SUMMER CHARMS OF CLASSICAL MUSIC

The Split Music Youth Association proudly presents the 15th edition of the Summer Delights of Classical Music concert series, a festival that has enriched Split’s cultural life during the summer months for fifteen years. The programme brings together outstanding Croatian and international artists, diverse musical performances, and memorable concert experiences across the city’s unique historic venues.

This year’s edition runs from June 18 to September 24, 2026, featuring choirs, chamber ensembles, soloists, and instrumental groups. Audiences can look forward to a rich programme of classical repertoire, works inspired by folk traditions, contemporary music, and captivating tango performances.

Most concerts will take place in the spectacular setting of the Cellars of Diocletian’s Palace, one of Split’s most iconic cultural and historical landmarks. Exceptions include the performance by the INA Mixed Choir at the Church of St. Francis on the waterfront, as well as a tango evening featuring Walter Romero and Diego “Dipi” Kvitko, held in front of the Old City Hall on People’s Square (Narodni trg).

A special highlight of this year’s programme is the concert by Ensemble Illyrica, presented in cooperation with the 72nd Split Summer Festival. This concert requires a ticket, while all other events are free of charge.

The successful realisation of this year’s festival would not have been possible without the continued support of valued partners and institutions that recognise the importance of music and culture in the development of the city and the region. The Split Music Youth Association extends its sincere gratitude to the Split Tourist Board and the Split City Museum for their partnership in organising and delivering the programme, as well as to the City of Split and the Split-Dalmatia County, whose long-term support ensures the continuity of cultural initiatives and contributes to the city’s vibrant musical life.

Over the past fifteen years, the Summer Delights of Classical Music concert series has grown into one of Split’s most recognisable cultural events, bringing together renowned Croatian and international artists and creating a space where audiences can experience outstanding musical performances. This anniversary edition continues that tradition with a programme that connects different musical styles, generations of performers, and cultural backgrounds.
